New York Part 1: Arrival and Hotel

Sunday 09:01:11 / Afternoon:

Today we go to the first post of our New York trip. Many more will follow. I wish you read a lot of fun:)

Our flight departed at 09:01:11 by 12 clock from the Frankfurt airport. After a good 8 hour flight we finally landed against 14 clock at JFK Airport in New York. Really very handy with the time difference, so we had all day Sunday in front of us: D
The flight was quite relaxed and I sat at the window and completely open view, I could admire the whole flight over the landscape. We are away to England to Greenland and then flown by the entire Canadian Coast down to New York. I find it every time again really interesting how the different country of sheep look up and change. Simply beautiful:)

After immigration control and customs, it was finally ready and we could continue our trip to the USA. A full 40 minutes separated the subway us now from our hotel in Manhattan. When we
from the subway station came and I saw for the first time the high-rises around us, my first thought was "Wow, are but small." I had a lot of gigantic buildings presented here, but many are not so huge as expected. The mass stopped. But in the coming posts you will see in the pictures what I mean.

Well, we then checked against 16 for the first time clock in the hotel. Our hotel was the Paramount Park Hotel that lies at the heart of Manhattan and not a minute away from Times Square. The hotel has 3 1 / 2 stars, has been renovated 2 years ago and was totally sufficient for our purposes. Breakfast

we always outside the hotel and every day somewhere else. Finally, there are in New York delis on every corner and any other breakfast places where you can compare to the hotel breakfast cheaper. Since buy food and dining in New York but not at all cheap, we paid the two together for breakfast usually between 15-20 $. And they were CHEAP pubs and cafés! Two times we had also brought in one of the many street breakfast trolley was. But that was not necessarily much cheaper.
And when you add in a little something for lunch and dinner, which is not even one fast for 2 persons $ 60-80 times per day just to go food. Madness or?

Here you can see the view from our hotel room from the 16th Floor. We were housed in the rear of the hotel and were able to wave to our hotel neighbors over;)
If you have further looked to the left, you could even see the Times Square. Otherwise, not so much but spectacular.

The room was quite small. If you have opened both cases on the ground, could no longer run. Only in London we had went through even smaller. But anyway, the main thing the room was clean and well we were only there to sleep;)

Although daraußen by the noise of Times Square and the street was very loud, I must say it was heard in the room and we could hardly sleep.
By the time change of 6 hours each night but I was mostly rested already between 1 und 3 clock and could get up. This has not, unfortunately, even after a week out really. So I wonder when the people make travel around constantly between time zones? Yes that must be totally confused with the sleep time * ggg *

Since the check was fast and we still had a few hours before us, we are exploring it for the first time the Times Square gone.

To be continued ...

Here you come to Part 2, Part 3 , Part 4, Part 5 the trip.
